Odoo – a universal business management system.
Owners look for “a program for my business”: a car service, wholesale or an agency. And they run into the same problem – an off-the-shelf industry program covers one area, important as it is. The rest has to be patched together by hand.
Odoo works differently. It is a set of modules matching the departments of a company: sales, stock, purchasing, accounting, manufacturing, projects. The modules are assembled for a specific business. The question of whether a ready solution exists for your business answers itself. What remains is another one – whether your processes match the way Odoo defines them.

Does Odoo fit you
Ready Odoo configurations can work at once – with almost no customisation. But businesses often need specific localisations and integrations – such a project has to be discussed separately.
A simple, fast start
Straightforward trade, services, project business, rental. The standard Odoo Sales, Purchase, Inventory and Project modules cover it. Configuration here means describing your processes, not programming.
Localisation or integration needed
Anything involving accounting and statutory documents. Odoo ships a Ukrainian chart of accounts and VAT out of the box, but printed forms and statutory reporting are not part of the base package.
When a site visit is needed
Manufacturing and warehousing. These processes cannot be set up remotely: someone has to see how goods actually move and where they get stuck. Manufacturing projects we run together with industry specialists.
Type of business matters, but is not decisive
In our experience, readiness for an ERP is defined not by the industry but by the quality of the processes. An unusual company with clear processes goes live faster than a company from the list above without them.
When Odoo is overkill
We turn down projects where Odoo would be worse than an off-the-shelf tool. That is fairer for everyone.
- A micro business with no stock and no staff. One or two people, a dozen deals a month. An online bookkeeping service is simpler and faster.
- The order is really just an online booking. A beauty salon, a barbershop, a studio. A dedicated booking service does this better and cheaper than a universal ERP.
- Specialised or certified systems. Medical records, a laboratory, diagnostic equipment – Odoo is not a specialised management system. But it can work alongside one: covering finance, stock and marketing.
Is your company ready for the project: how much time it will take and when we will advise against it. That is on the “How we work” page.
Just ask!
The list above is not a rule. These are simply businesses where Odoo works well with minimal customisation. Yours may not be on it, but that does not mean Odoo is wrong for it.
